“It’s time to close out 2014 and move into 2015 fresh and recharged.”
Today we talk about closing out 2014 and getting a good start on 2015.
As we talked about yesterday it’s slow during the Holidays and this is a good time to work on our business. So today we are going to continue with working on the business and self by closing out 2014.
What:
Close this chapter in our journey and get ready for 2015.
Why:
It’s time to move on into to 2015 with a clean slate armed with our new knowledge and badges of honor.
How:
Close out the year the same as we would close out a project. We want to look and the mistakes and the achievements and learn from them.
To start we want to list the top 5 to 10 things that went wrong or failed in 2014.
- List the top 5 to 10 errors
- Write lessons learned for each one
- Release the mistakes
Next we want to work on our accomplishments.
- List the top 10 to 15 things that happened this year
- Write lessons learned for each one
- Look at how to multiply these accomplishments
After you have your lists of good and bad things that happened this year take a look at how they play into our road map for 2015.
Take some time to close out this year and build a strong foundation for next year.
Take-Action Items:
-
Make a list of top 5 bad things and write some lessons learned
-
Make a list of top 10 great things and write some lessons learned
-
Use these to help build a strong foundation for next year
