Episode 96 – Slow Times

“Slow times during the Holidays are a great time to focus on your business.”

Today we talk about focusing on improving your business during the holiday slow times.

Over the Holiday times we are faced with slow times where clients are not in and employees take extended time off. We need to use that time to our advantage.

What:

Make the most of the times when things are slow around the office and focus on some improvements in your business.

Why:

We already know that productivity will be down and our clients will be busy so use this time to get other things accomplished.

How:

Use this slow time to work on your business.

  • Lay the foundation for making improvements next year
  • Work on creating and updating procedures
  • Delegate some tasks to others
    • Set clear expectations
    • Educate/train employees on how to accomplish the expected tasks
    • Give them the tools they need
  • This is also a good time to have some meetings

We already know that business will be slow so take advantage of this and work on the business.
