We can all use a little help once and a while, so why are we so reluctant to get it?

  1. We don’t always know we need help
    1. It can be a case of not knowing what we don’t know
    2. We let our ego get in the way and think we already know what we need to know
    3. We get caught up in the societal norms that say
  2. Sometimes we are just scared
    1. All the marketing BS get’s us tied up
    2. We have a tight budget and don’t want to waste money
    3. Not sure who to believe
  3. We all need some help sometimes – even if it’s just for accountability – so how do we find the right ones
    1. Interview them before hiring them – accountants / lawyers / coaches / consultants / etc.
      1. You need to build a relationship and trust them
    2. Recognize and understand what you need
      1. What do you want to accomplish with the relationship
    3. Remember, most of the time we get a great ROI on these investments

Key Questions:

  1. Where do you need some help?

  2. Do you already have the right people helping you?

  3. Are there areas that can use more?

  1. Review your support

  2. Fill in the gaps

  3. Update current support to make the right fit
