Over the last few weeks, we have been talking about a proactive approach to planning our projects. That process would not be complete without some discussion about the project schedule. Today we are going to take a look at how to address the project schedule during the planning stage.

    1. Starts in estimating – broad level schedule
    2. Opps should create their own – then compare
    3. Compare your schedules to the contract – does it work?
  2. In-fill the details

  3. Make it useful
    1. Add to contracts and POs
    2. Be sure the schedule is clear and understandable
    3. Perform regular and proper updates
